OLDS JUNIOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
GOOD-BYE TO THE BUILDING REUNION
OCTOBER 16-18, 2009

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there anything I can be doing while I pack and wait to come to the reunion?
Yes!!!!  Please think of every connection you have to Olds High School and contact them, just in case they still haven't heard about the reunion.  Thank you!

Is there any rush for me to register?
Yes, because there is less than two weeks to go!  Some events are still being planned based on numbers.  If we can know who is coming, we can plan accordingly.  In addition, the reunion committee believes that when "you" register and your name appears on the roster, it will encourage "others" to register too!

Can I just attend the Opening Ceremonies?
The Opening Ceremonies will be open to the public.  If you are a former student or staff member, it is our hope that you will wish to be a part of the Opening Ceremonies, as we wish to honour those that have made Olds High School what it is today.  There is an exciting rumour going around that there may be some unforgettable "magic" at the ceremonies and you won't want to miss that!

What is going to happen to the stained glass window?
The stained glass window is going to be moved to the new school and will reside in the Fine Arts Building.

Can I buy a brick?
There have already been many requests for brick buying.  We would love to sell you a brick, but school is still running in the building so we really need the bricks.  If we learn that bricks can be purchased upon demolition, we will have that information available at the reunion.

May I take my art during the reunion?
Over the years, students have left pieces of artwork to be part of the school.  They have beautified the building. Once we have a move date, if you are interested in having your art back, we will contact you.  At the reunion, there will be a sign-up sheet where you need to leave your name, contact information, and specify the art you are interested in getting back. (provided said art still exists and is prominently displayed)

What about other parts of the school?  Can I take those?
Again, we are in need of all parts of the building as we are still in school until at least February 2010.  Other parts of the school will be auctioned off after we have moved.   If we are allowed to know the date, we will contact you.  There will be a sign-up sheet at the reunion if this is the case.

Should I bring a sledgehammer?
Please, NO!  We are having this reunion to honour the building that was yours.
